Airservices Australia works across every Australian state, both in major cities and in some of our most remote locations. We acknowledge and respect that in every location in which we operate we are on traditional lands, sea and air of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
In order to serve these communities we must be a leader in reconciliation and support all staff in developing their cultural awareness, understanding and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the role they have played, and will play in the future of this country.
Airservices Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) 2021-23 identifies critical factors that need to be delivered to support its success. We are committed to undertaking a range of actions and initiatives that will enhance opportunities, build relationships and ensure the greatest levels of respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
We're currently engaging closely with Reconciliation Australia on the development of our new RAP, with an intended launch to be set in the coming months. In line with Reconciliation Australia’s guidance, we remain an active RAP partner during this interim period until the new RAP has been endorsed. We are continuing to implement our existing RAP commitments, undertake our reporting requirements and engage closely with Reconciliation Australia to develop a sustainable and meaningful new RAP.
